THE MITIGATION ACTION FACILITY
The Mitigation Action Facility, emerged from the NAMA Facility, is an international grant-based multi-donor fund that drives sectoral decarbonization by providing technical support and climate finance. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) supports the Mitigation Action Facility with funds from the International Climate Initiative (IKI). Others doners are UK, Denmark, the European Commission, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). Energy, Industry and Transport, the world’s highest greenhouse gas emission, are now the focus of the Mitigation Action Facility.
The first call for funding from the Mitigation Action Facility is scheduled to start at the begging of June with a funding volume of up to EUR 100 million. All the information on the call for funding is being published on the website.
